Amanda had an unexpected email from a German flautist Gerda Koppelkamm- Martini, who purchased The Feminine flute CD and fell in love with Infinity but was having
difficulty purchasing the score. Although scores can be dispatched world wide from foxysounds.co.uk, Gerda had already arranged a visit to the UK and in her email had expressed a keen interest in
meeting Amanda the composer! A great honour for her and a good story for her local flute society magazine!
So, on Saturday July 25th 2009 Gerda visited Amanda in her studio. She came
with her daughter Katharina, a harpist. Amanda was greeted with hugs and kisses and was presented with a case of red wine! Being a bit early for alcohol, a chat over coffee and biscuits was more apt.
Amanda signed copies of three of her flute and piano pieces, including Gerda's favourite "Infinity". Her daughter was snapping pictures during the signing, like a celebrity experience for Amanda.
With all the music paid for and signed, off they went chuffed to bits!
